Celebrating 50 Years

The 50 Greatest Moments in Alberta Basketball is a pillar of of ABA’s 50th Anniversary programming in 2025.

To be eligible, a moment must be occurrence or accomplishment related to the sport of basketball at any level that took place between 1975 and 2025 either in Alberta OR outside of the province involving Albertans.

The moments were complied following a public nomination process, consultation with hoops historians and prominent figures in basketball community, as well as extensive research by the ABA 50th Anniversary Committee.
